4 Stroke Oil Question!

I did the search and FAQ and found no help.<br />I have a 40hp Yamaha 4 stroke and was thinking about Mobil 1 10W30. Is that a good choice or should I stick with regular Dino Oil? Any Pros or Cons.

Changing to a syn. certainly will not hurt. I would still follow the engine makers viscosity requirements though. Whatever they are.

If you do a search in the Honda section you should find some info, it has been on the site before. I am all for Mobil 1 I run it in my Honda as well as the truck and all my other toys!!!

Get a copy of the March 2004 issue of Bass and Walleye Boats magazine for an article and lab test results for a number of 4-stroke outboard oils.
