4 stroke or 2

i have a '07 9.9 4 stroke merc on an 14' utility boat does anyboy know if a 2 stroke wold go any faster (som e pros cons?) what is a 4strke 9.9 = to? j.b.cornwell some advice ?

Your 4 stroke will definately leave less of an oil slick in your wake,

I'm gonna bet that the torque curve on the 2-stroke is going to be better. i.e. better hole shot (this is a guess, not a fact). It's also going to be significantly lighter. That said, 9.9hp is power output on both motors.
