Low HP and midrage - Definately 4 stroke
High HP - 2 stroke, It has to have fuel injection. Luv the Merc 200 EFI, but if I wanted to spend more money, I'd go with the Yamaha HPDI.

Please, no carburators

4 stroke Yamaha 100 has served me well the first season. 4 stroke Honda 9.9 kicker for 3 years-flawless. No more two strokes for me, unless I'm a boat racer.

Pratt & Whitney PT6 Turboprop no cylanders :D :D

this could go on and on and on

It dpends on the boat if it were a big boat I would go with a 4our stroke or a 2 stroke that meets the EPA 2006 guidlines, if it were a sailboat kicker I would go four a 4 stroke since us sailors are to LAZZY to mix oil any thing under 20 horse power not for sailboats I would go for a 2 stroke.
