4 volvo banger to v8 Conversion

Hi guys.. I am sure this must have been covered at some time but I cant find it in search..

Any way have a volvo aq151/280 leg.my top speed is 30 mph at 5500 rpm

I want more speed. Thinking chev 350. can I get more info on this Conversion

Sell the boat and buy one with a mercrusier outdrive with a 350 engine..

Doesn't have to be a Mercruiser though.

Dealing with weight and balance issues,new motor mounts and not to mention, is your boat rated for a V-8???

Unless this boat has hard core sentimental value sell it and get one with a bigger engine...

You will need to change the gear ratio too for the V-8.

+1. I prefer merc also but Volvo is fine too. Just stay away from OMC.
