Gang:

If you have one of these motors, typically from the late 80's into the early 1990's and you have irreconcilable carb issues, you may be able to get a brand new replacement carburetor at boats.net

Again, some of you have the time to rebuild and play mechanic, god bless you.
For those who can't or won't, there at least is an option.

Thanks and good luck.

Scotty could you state a little more about your problem? Sounds like my engine could have something in common. And are you saying you can get one for some kinda of discount?

Thanks,
Justin

Re: 40 and 50 HP Johnson VRO Carb Issues

I have a carb problem that started as no idle. I cleaned the carbs out which looked perfect, now I have idle but popping and back-firing.

I don't have the time to play with this thing. I am not rich and can't afford to make my marina a little richer.

I paid 80.00 each for my new carbs and I am dancn.:D
