July 4th holiday boating in our pontoon with ‘92 40hp Merc/Mariner 4cylinder 2cycle outboard. All good until we tried to restart after stopping for lunch at restaurant on the water. After some initial testing determined no spark to any cylinder.
Motor cranks and choke is working but no ignition.
could use any help or direction. Checked deadman switch, checked resistance across trigger coil leads brown and black, then purple and white, 862 across both.
