40 hp lower unti interchangability

Im still wondering what other models a 1982 lower unit from a 40 hp will fit. If you want to see a picture of it follow this link http://home.bellsouth.net/p/PWP-brentsbox Its in great shape and has a brand new water pump and impeller and I dont want it to go to waste.

That's a classic. That unit should fit the 35 and 40 twins. Also the 40, 45, and 50 inline 4's. All the way from the 1960s into the 1990s. Advertise it on the classifieds here on iboats, or eBay it. Good luck.

Redfish, are you giving this away? I've got a 1989 40 Mariner that I could use a spare for. I'm interested in it for sure!
