Engine sounds great,shifts into gear and propeller turns, but boat moves real slow in the water.

Does the motor rev up?Does the speed increase some then motor revs with no increase in speed?details??2cylinder or 4cylinder?

2 cylinder...engine revs up but boat moves very slow..no increase in speed.

Sounds like a spun hub you can check by putting a waterproof line across the underside of the hub and check it after you a test run.

Im not sure what u mean by water proof line? Please explain..im new to boating.

You need to mark the rubber hub and the prop. If you do have a spun hub, the hub will spin inside the prop.
So you would need to scribe a line across the rubber hub and continue it until you have scratched a line on the metal of the prop or used a waterproof pen or paint so that you can tell if they don't line up after running under load...
