Well I have some updated info for all that were interested in issues. I decided to throw some money at this and picked up a Michigan wheel 992401
Diameter: 11-1/2 inch
Pitch: 8
Rotation: Right Hand (RH)
# Blades: 4
Material: Aluminum
The performance was less than I was hoping for by a long shot. I ran 4 passes with the old 11 pitch and averaged 15 mph with my gps at 4700 rpm WOT all 4 passes the prop did vent.

I installed the new 8 pitch, ran 4 passes averaged 15 mph at 4000 rpm never vented once. The hole-shot was pretty good for an aircraft carrier.
So now I have to throw a little more money at this pig, given that the 4 blade 8 pitch is about 1700 rpm low I don't think a 7 pitch 4 blade will get me there. Any best guesses as to what Michigan wheel prop should be my next attempt? I want to stick with a Michigan wheel since the hub I just bought will work on it.

You can get the Solas Amtia 5311-122-07 7P 3 blade propfor under $80. No hub kit required. That would have been my choice in the first place.

At 4700 wot rpm with the old 11 prop pitch that motor is revving 1,100 rpm less than the max 5800 would be ideal to rev as loaded. OEM Tohatsu props can achieve as much as 500 rpm per pitch whether up or down. Will need to go for a 9 or 8.5 prop pitch if OEM much better...
