I have recently acquired a 1991 40 hp johnson that is in mint condition, the water pump works fine but due to age woulld like to replace as a safety precaution. Have all the manuals, read the posts and have confidence in doing the job. Here is my question, many of you have experience at this, are there any tips or tricks that would make the job go easier? As usual we manage to find little things along the way to make jobs a little simpler and that is all I am looking for. Many thanks in advance for your usual fine help!!
