I just got a carb rebuild done by a mechanic on my boat. It runs great. However, is it normal that it 'likes' to be warmed up for about 3-5 minutes first or it stalls when shifting into gear? I thought a carb job was supposed to remedy this. Why the warm up factor.

What's your model number, can't look up your engine without it.

A few minutes running time is normal for most carbed motors before they want to behave nicely.
