1994 johnson 40 hp, M/N J40ELERE

I seem to be getting a fuel/oil leak when my boat is sitting trailered in the driveway. Looks like it is coming from a small hose (vent?) that comes out of the block just below the carb intakes. I don't believe this hose is supposed to be connected to anything. The leak is somewhat intermittant and I think is related to whether the motor was tilted or not. I do disconnect the gas line to the motor. any thougthts?

I'm not certain, but I believe there is an opening or nipple on your air silencer for the bearing drain tube (if that is what you are referring to).

I did check around for an opening or nipple in the silencer but there wasn't anything obvious, unless it was hidden by the oil pump- maybe I have to dissassemble further to find it.
