I have a 40hp mariner magnum 4 cylinder outboard. It only has a stick on sn and it is worn off. I think that the motor is around a 1998. The propeller on it has only this for markings (t017) and nothing else. I have measured and think that the diameter of the prop is 10". The prop is missing about 1/4" of one fluke. I used it like that all of last year with no vibration and my pontoon does about 17 knots with gps. The blade is looking worse and I would like to get a new one, but do not know what to get. It is on a 19' pontoon with only a couple of chairs and is used strictly for fishing.
I am sure that someone has basically the same setup and can tell me what prop they use on there motor.
thank you and any help would be great

Take it to a prop shop and have it measured by the pros, toons are heavier boats with huge water drag, if going for a new same diam/pitch prop how do you know if the motor has been working safely inside its min-max wot rpm range factory stated. Current or same new propp could be revving the motor badly towards the lugging side and not knowing a thing about that which is a motor killer. All motors should be tached once installed and after maximizing other props as well.

Happy Boating
