12footer i got your reply i have both in noetral but!!!!! on lower unit shaft there is a stop block on shaft that that rotates one side is straight the other is angled how is that place when putting shift shaft back together no catfish here but a lot of lobsters thanks from your maine man

I think you are describing the shift cam.If so, it'll have a pin that goes thru it (some have a machine screw)...Izat it?<br />If so, the angled side faces the back, (or prop).
