I just got a Taurus 454 Raging Bull and love it. It's like shooting a .44 with a little extra recoil. I love the .44, it is nothing to shoot all day long for me, but I have never shot the S&W 500. Anybody here have real world comparison experience between the two? What loads are available for the 500, and how is the accuracy? The 454 seems to be accurate at distances normally reserved for rifles. One main difference is that the Taurus has factory compensator vents and S&W does not; though S&W has a neat compensator that attachers to the muzzle. Anyone fire the S&W with/without the compensator?
