45hp chrysler

i have a 1969 valiant boat and chrysler motor i am having troubles finding parts for a 69 45 hp motor any sugestions where to get parts for the lower unit on a long shaft

Try over at The chrysler Crew for used parts like a drive shaft or gears, or franzmarine@aol.com for new things like seals.

parts are still available; you just need to look. MANY of the seals and bearings are standard and can be purchased at your local bearing supply store. Just take in the old ones and frequently they can match them.

ya i can get seals but i'm looking for the intermediate shift rod cani use one from a 55hp long shaft

The 35, 45, and 55 (with the same lower unit) all use many common parts. Yes, the shift rod is swappable as are the complete lower units, midlegs, cowls, mounting clamps, etc.

great thanks i just picked up a 55 hp for fifty bucks so sound s good just have to find the seals not havin much luck. one place told me they had them till i got there they said they didn't so back on the hunt.and thanks.
