It is on the starbord side of the engine, just below the exhaust manifold on that side. Starbord meaning that it is actually the left side of the engine as you are facing the front of the engine!
Well from the pic in my OMC manual it looks like it should have a little bracket on it that bolts to one of the manifold bolts. Maybe somebody replaced it and forgot to attach it there.<br />go to www.dougrussell.com they have parts diagrams on line for all of the OMC engines so you may see it there.
