Greetings,
Looking for input on how long to expect a cold block to hold pressure testing for a coolant leak.

I pressurized the system at around 7psi and it bled off about 1psi after an hour or so. I'm assuming that it's acceptable.

Anyone have any input?

Thanks for the chart. I'll bump up the pressure tonight and retest.

I only went to 7 psi because the cap is usually rated to 12lb or so. I figured 7 was a reasonable number.

I did re do the test this morning and it held the 7 psi for at least 2 hrs or until I left for work. I left it pressurized to see if it holds all day.

My concern lies in that I found some antifreeze in the oil when I did my seasonal oil change. I did have a leak in the riser gasket (I just fixed it) and I want to confirm there isn't any other leaks (like the cam seals) I cleared the weephole and do not see any antifreeze. I would believe Im good to go as far as cleaning the oil again. However, I will retest at 17psi tonight.
