After got overe the over heating, it was both risers block up real bad, new risers solve the problem. now my friend was driving at 30 miles per hour when a big fishing boat was going in the oposite direction he did non cut his speed man this 27 foot regal flew over the other boat wake high up in the air and down broke up a lot of stuff. motor still runs good now i am seeing some oily stuf coming from the back of boat when i stop it look like when gas spil in the water it is coming from behind the out drive area. what could that be?? there is no gas line behind the boat. help should i pull the boat??<br /><br />thanks for any info

Bolo<br />I do not know about your new problems. The overheating problem with riser plugged means very close to the point where manifold fails and water runs back to the exhaust valves and into the clyinders. If your going to run it without changing manifold watch it very closely.

Could be gear oil from your outdrive, or hydraulic fluid from the trim lines leaking. I would think you would want to pull the boat and find the source. <br />You might be able to tell on the hydraulics by stopping and turning everything off. When the water clears run your trim all the way up and down. If you see an oil slick it is likely oil leaking from your trim. Check the reservoir if it is low that is also a clue.<br />Water leaking into your outdrive will turn into a major repair real quick.
