Hi new here and I have been reading around on here some.I am from down in south Louisiana.
I have a question about the hp. difference from the 470 ,165,185,190? and also why, if there is a difference ?
The reason I asked is because I just swopped out a 470 to a 185 (that's what's on valve covers) and I notice a big difference in hp.
The 470 was rebuilt 6-7 years ago by my brother (and and I started have some problems with it so I just swopped it out with another 470(185) that my brother rebuilt a few years back for someone else and I aquired it.Just curious on this, or if my 470 just never was right form the start on power.
Also, I also have the problem of eng. stalling out after running at 3500 rpm for a while then to idle.I believe I have a coil getting hot as some threads has complained about and I will work that problem out(I hope) if so this eng. seem to be a beast for me.
