470 parts needed

For all those that remember the infamous turbocharged 470's I have decided to pull them. I can find everything I need to get back to the stock setup except the carb linkage and brackets. Does anyone know where to find the parts to connect the throttle cables to the carbs? Mercruiser.com is the only place I found them listed but they show most of the parts no longer available. I sent e-mails to some boat salvage yards I found on the net but none have returned my e-mails.

Thanks, both of them show the parts so I will see if they are in stock. Replacing those turbochargers isn't going to be cheap.

I just ordered evrything I needed through Shorts. I hope he has it all. Pretty good pricing but that was a fast $800.00. If I could find someone in the central coast of California that wants to turbocharge some 470's!!! Such a deal I have for you!!

OK, Shorts either had everything I needed or knew where to get what they didn't have except one thing. The throttle levers. They are the later model that look like a traingle. Mercruiser P/N 78801T. I have sent e-mails to at least a dozen places that look like they may have some. Nothing yet. If anyone has a couple of 470's laying in their yard that still have these, I need 2. Also if someone has some good pics of the throttle cable connected up on the later 470 (S/N 5370072) I would like to see it to make sure I have everythig on order. I also found out where the turbochargers came from. They were off a diesel boat and they were adapted to the 470 with the addition of the air box and an adapter plate to the exhaust manifold. That should make the turbo's and exhaust elbows easier to sell. I just have not found out what engine the are off.

Thanks. Tried every one of them with no luck. Some show it in their listings but do not have it in stock. It is a discontinued item.

Hope you can find a couple of them, if not let me know. We have a boat in storage with one (no I'm not going to steal it) and I could take some measurements and you should be able to make a couple of them out of aluminum fairly easy. as long as the holes are in the right place.
