470 project new question on the rotor

As some might know i converted to a alternator. during the rebuild i removed the old voltage regulator and the stator. what should i do with the rotor i read in this forum that some people remove the magnets what's everybodies opinion on this so i can do the right thing

If they are all still in place, leave them there. You don't want just one missing magnet, as it would make the pulley way out of balance. Either all there, or all missing. Trust me, they can be really tough to get out.

Thanks Don S i was kinda wondering on the balance of the rotor when you remove the magnets. so if a magnet falls off i should take all the magnets off or try to repair the fallen off magnet

If the magnet is all there, I would epoxy it back in it's original place. Get some strong epoxy, not the 5 min. stuff.
Between the glue and the magnet holding it in place it won't be a problem.

OK thanks they are still all there but i will use that info in the future if one falls off
