5.0 Engine sputter when trim is activated

First run out for the boat. (November 8th...in Canada!!) There are a few things that will need to be investigated.

I ran the boat for about 45 min with no issues prior to this happening.

The last mile to the dock I opened it up. Touched the trim....engine did what sounded like a misfire. Touched the trim again and the engine dipped in power...misfire. Not exactly backfires, more like a "miss and a pop". Did that a few more times, whenever I activated the trim the engine would cut out.

I pulled back the throttle all the way, hit the trim....it sputtered and died. Took a bit to getting it started again, when it did it ran fine back to the dock.

Ideas?

Ayuh,... Sounds like a Bad Ground somewhere...
The trim pump is stealing voltage from the igntion...

Thanks Bondo, I'll start by doing a visual of all the wiring and see if I can spot something broken or frayed.

Im not as far north as you but close in far north Ohio and tomorrow will my first time out with the new boat this year im glad im not the only one
