5.0 GL-D tuning after carb rebuild

I completed carb rebuild on a project boat that I purchased. Now I'm looking to tune it but ran into an issue.. there are no idle mixture screws on the metering block. Based on my research and a plethora of videos I reviewed there should be 2 screws (one on each side). Mine are capped of with metal covers. I tried prying it off but its not coming off. Also the screw would be sticking out of the block slightly based on what I've seen so I doubt there is anything under there. My first thought is I have different carb version without those screws? I can provide pictures if I'm not being clear enough.

I'm able to start it with some starting fluid only on cold starts since I completed the rebuild. This is why I'm looking to tune the idle mixture.
