Started up my 2004 5.0 mpi engine on land after winter the other day and it ran fine for 7-10 min.
Then it stalled for a sec and then fine again. There was one warning beep at the same time or it could also be the beep you hear when you turn on the ignition. Then it kept doing this randomly. It could be a couple of minuters between but it felt like it was more frequently as the engine came up in temperature. It did stall and beep around 2 times in 1 min before i shut the engine off. You can see the stall in the video.
Don’t really know where to start troubleshooting so any advice would be appreciated

check all battery connections including starter main and engine ground

in the past i've found a faulty ground connection to be the culprit in similar situations

after that a computer diagnostic tool may be required to see if the beep is coinciding with any fault codes

When you disconnected the gear oil reservoir, did you disable the alarm float switch ? If not, I’m a empty condition like that, it will alarm.
mother than that, a beep or two every so often when running at idle and behaving badly, will usually be an IAC fault.
The diz cap failure is notorious on these engines, but I’d be quite sure this isn’t causing the beep. In all the years I’ve had mine and it’s 5/6 occasions of requiring a diz cap...it’s never shown it with an alarm. Never.
