So got my 1995 OCM 502APHUE back together and was testing it over the weekend.
If I put the fuel from a canister directly into carburetor it will start and run for a bit while the fuel is used up. And it will keep on starting and running for a bit if I keep on adding the fuel into the carb, but it will not keep on running.
To me feels like some issues with the fuel supply. Prior to the engine rebuild the mechanical fuel pump and carburetor were working ok and I've not made any changes to them at all.
It is possible to install the pump incorrectly somehow onto the engine, the install seemed pretty direct and can't really mess it up, all I did was unbolt from the old block and bolt to the new one.
After the pump all the lines are metal and can't see if any of the fuel is getting to the carb or not, what is the best way to test it?
Can I add some adapter just before the carb for fuel pressure test? or some other way to see if any of the fuel is getting into or passed the pump?
Is there a fuel drain on the carb I can check, to see if the fuel bowl is getting the fuel into it?
Thanks
