5.0 temp gauge slowly climbs

Just dewinterized my boat and noticed that the temp gauge kept climbing. I checked the t-stat and it worked perfect, the water pump on the motor is brand new along with the motor and almost everything else. The only thing i have changed is my impeller in the lower unit. I am thinking it may be my problem but not sure, it doesn't seem as much water is coming out of the boat as usual. Looking for some advise or any help.

it is 1994 vip with a new 5.0 merc alpa 1. havent got to use it yet just revived boat last year and ran out of summer, but everythinh was fine before i winterized.

first place to start is check the impeller for damage or incorrect installation.

thanks, its my first inboard and my "go to guy" doesnt do anything but out boards.
