5.0 Volvo Penta - Not going full speed at full throttle

Hello all, I just bought a 2005 Glastron GX-205 with a 5.0L Volvo Penta engine. When I tested out the boat it ran good on water and would go 35mph no problem. Just took it out this past weekend and it won’t go fast all anymore. Just stays at 10pm at full throttle. A couple times it would go full speed but most times it would just go slow, felt like boat was too heavy and wouldn’t go.

Ayuh,..... Welcome Aboard,..... Pull the fuel filter, 'n dump it into a clear container to see how much crap is in it,....
Then put on a new one, 'n try it,....

Pull your fuel line off your carburetor and and put the end of your fuel line in a bottle and turn the motor over and see if u got fuel pressure. It should fill that bottle very quickly. A 16oz bottle will work. If it doesn't fill that bottle more than half way in about 5 seconds of turning it over then u have a bad fuel pump.
