5.0GXI Initial Timing Setup - Swapped motor.

Hello,

Been doing a lot of searching and have the VP shop manual but still feel a bit confused on getting this distributor installed. Some forums say that I need a scan tool to get it right and others seem to just say get it put in correctly and the computer controls the rest of the timing. I want to make sure I get this right the first time. Any advice?

If motor has the flat type distributor cap then its not timed with a light
This is for Merc but timing is the same
