5 1/2 lb tripletail..plus a few grouper..

Tripletail...5 1/2 lbs!!! On the way out to the honeyhole, my wife, buddy Dave and I came across a deck brush floating along. As we approached I could see a fish hugging it. Yep, big tripletail. Snuck up and NETTED him! He wasnt sick, just unaware. Almost flipped off the deck.
The rest of the day wasn't bad. Put about 70 fish on board. Here's some pics of the keepers and some also rans....it sure is good to have the seas lay down a bit so we could get back out. Here's a link or two...first one is a pic of the brush and the tripletail.

Actually, Dave is seen in one of the pics sitting down with the line out and big bow in his rod. A big shark picked up his cut bait and hauled butt. It wore through his 30# and he lost it. That would have been a good fish for the Int'l.

lol, tripletail have to be the dumbest fish alive but dang good eating....good job rick.
