I am still having problems with my 88 OMC Cobra only running on four cylinders. I have absolutely no spark in half of the distributor cap. I am thinking it could be a bad ESA module or possibly the shift cable is out of adjustment?!? Does anyone have a diagram for the ESA or ideas on how to adjust the cable properly?!?! Also i have tried unplugging the ESA in hopes that this would solve my problems and it hasnt.. so does this mean it is not the esa or cable? any ideas would be greatly appreciated!! Thanks again!

The factory service manual has all the adjustments for the ESA and shift cables.
They are very critical if not measured exactly to specs.
The manual takes you through it step by step with photos.

I used to have that manual but gave it to the guy who bought that boat.

If not adjusted correctly it will destroy the lower gears in the drive.
The Seloc or Clymers manuals are terrible for this info.It must be the factory manual.
