I am desperately in need of some help from you guys again. I was changing out the plugs on my Four Winns boat a few days ago, when I pulled one of the wires off, the connector broke off the wire inside the boot. I figured it might as well be time to swap out the wires. Initially I brought the broken wire to the auto store presuming they would just have a loose one sitting around to sell. HAHAHA. No luck with that, and to top it off they couldnt even order any for me. I got over anxious and ordered a set off amazon, which I am now sure are not the correct ones I need. The guy at the auto store, said the ones I need have a different connector on the distributor than a normal wire. My boat is a 2000/2001 Horizon 180, but it came with a 5.0 and the previous owner swapped it out for the 5.7, so this makes figuring out parts real tough. I figure as long as the thickness (8mm), lengths and connectors are correct I should be fine, but I am really struggling figuring out which ones I need. If anyone can help I would really appreciate it ! Thanks

Got it. Looks like its sierra 18-8836. The 5.0 was the 5.0L -I am assuming that the PO just swapped over the wires and dist when they replaced the engine with the 5.7, pretty standard practice.

Small block wires should basically all be the same length. Most boat wires have a 90degree boot. So as long as your distributor ends are compatible with your cap, it should be a fairly easy process. Only remove one old wire at a time and use it to match up in length from the new wires and replace.
