Howdy,

Didn't know there were gasket "dealers".....;)

All kidd'n aside, the ex-manifold gaskets aren't really all that critical since all you're sealing is exhaust. (There's no water in the head to manifold sealing surfaces)

Use what ever gasket you like and torque the fasteners to the recommended torque. Use a rust preventive (anti-seize) lubricant on the bolts/studs etc. I'd put a straight-edge on the manifolds to ensure that they're flat though.

If you're talking about manifold to riser gaskets, that IS somewhat critical. Use the silvery type gaskets with no sealer. (They seal on their own)

If you cannot find them use whatever sealant that OMC (or the manifold/riser manufacturer suggests) AND torque them as suggested.

Thanks for the info that helps a lot. I will use the Sierra gasket on the exhaust manifold and I will order the stainless ones for the risers. Unless you think the Sierra ones will be ok since I already have them. But no sealer right?

I am not sure there's "stainless" gaskets for riser-manifold surfaces.

There is sealant that people use like below.....

There's stainless steel "block-off plates for closed cooled engines too.....

like below

Here's a couple of threads that address the subject too.

A good flat head-to-manifold surface doesn't need a sealer. Just a good gasket.

Riser to manifold surfaces using the good modern gaskets are put together dry.
