the vibrating razor rocks but i can only shave right out of the shower without drying off just wrap a towel around waist and go to shaveing if ya got touhy skin try it

Well some interesting replies, keep them coming. I know I'll be trying most of the many products, & suggestions here in due time, and will report back with my results. It may take awhile though.

I use a 5 blade with a vibrator and I think they are great. With the rising price of the blades the Chinese jumped in and are making counterfeit blades by the shipload. They are almost exact copies except they dont cut they rip,tear and shred. If you get a new blade that rips your face apart chances are it's fake. You can send them in to the manufacturer and if it's a copy they usually send you new blades if you can tell you where you got it from. Check out Ebay,It's full of fakes.

yupper....5 blades with a vibrator...straight outta the shower......

the vibrator wiggles across the hairs and cuts smooooooth

i have really sensitive skin...the electrics all give me razor burn..really bad....but i absolutly love.......

sitting in a barbers chair...with HOT towel wrapped around my face...then getting a straight razor shave......

its really weird when you find it relaxing ......when a guy has a kinife to your throat...

I also have a tough beard but sensative skin. To make matters worse I am always changing my facial hair every few weeks. I will do a full beard, a goatee, and sometimes rock a mustache. When I first started shaving I just followed what my dad would do.......i.e. a cheap disposable bic and a can of cream. I tore my face apart doing that.

Then one year for christmas I got one of thos braun electic razors that cleans and charges itself when you arent using it. It is true what they say about it taking a month or so for your face to get used to the razor. Now that it has, its a really close shave.

I start with Williams "Lectric Shave" which gets the hair follicles to stand up straighter and tightens the skin up. This is the single best purchase I have made for shaving. It really makes a huge difference......I then shave with the razor and follow it up with a good aftershave. I CANNOT go back to any other way.

For the beard/ goatee, I have one of those adjustable trimmers. That too is a must have.

Why the(&&^%$#@##$%^&*) did they come out with 5 blade razors?

I've been waiting for Saturday Night Live to come out with a skit on this ever since they started the 3 blade razors.

You know, run one of those 'side by side' commercials where the announcers are from different manufacturers and keep pulling out razors with a larger number of blades.. 5 ... 6... 10... 15.. 30 ... 100! The final razor should be bigger than a person's head.

I tried an electric razor butgave up on 'em by mid-1970's because they just didn't get close enough. I suppose technology has changed a little bit since then, but just can't justify the expense to just try it...

I've read that in the US blades are far and away the most popular, while in Europe most men use electrics. Can anyone support / disprove that?

About 15 years ago I tried going back to a beard. What used to be red by then had turned white, and stiff as a wire brush. It *hurt*! So back to scraping my face every morning.

Anyway, I keep some of the Bic single-blade disposables to 'pre-shave' if I've gone more than 30 hours since the last one. Then I'll use a standard twin-blade.

We watch ... and don't buy anything that's not on sale. Then we'll get a couple of the 10 or 12 packs. Hopefully we'll still have a couple left before the next sale.

Glad to hear I'm not the only one. My problem is the 2 food markets IGA &overwaitie don't stock any thing else. you can't buy a 1 or 2 blade razor or the blades. SOOOOO! next time I go south I will have to buy a years worth. (**&^%$#@@#$#&&^*)

Why the(&&^%$#@##$%^&*) did they come out with 5 blade razors? Use em twice and they are shot! Can't trim mustache with em Can't trim side burns. If you don't shave for 2 days they clog up. they cost a lot. I wish they would go back to 1 blade ones. Or at the most 2 blade. And then they have the gaul to tell us how wonderful they are. And up the price again! I know! I know! now they have one with 5 blades and another blade on the other side for trimming, 6 BLADES!! Good god! Are we really that stupid? Well people thanks for letting me vent my spleen. I fell a little better now that I'v done my ranting. It's sunny out and -20 think I'll go out and light the firepit and have a beer. One for you too.

The worst part is, once you use em a few times, you find it's impossible to switch back... I don't know if they purposly make the older ones with duller blades now or what, but they are aweful now.

every time i go to a hotel and forget my razor...i gotta use one of thoes 2 blade things........then i look like ive lost a fight with a cat!... i agree sarg....they must be makin em duller

I have a full beard. Have had it forever and worked with the Public. But how can the young stud movie stars get away with a 3 day growth and look good, while us old guys have a 3 day gray stubble and look like winos?

Let the beard grow a few more days and get the Sean Connery look. Even the young chicks like "Distinguished older gentlemen".

My wife complains that men grow distinguished, women just grow old!
