#5 cylinder not firing

my mercury 150 1981 v6 #5 cylinder has no spark . I have new coil, wires still no spark. whats my next move? Steve

Interchange the leads from one switchbox to the other. If #5 has spark, then it is your switchbox. If it is, unfortunately they recommend replacing both switchboxes at about $161 (cheapest i've seen) + S&H a piece.<br /><br />If that doesn't work try switching the trigger leads and see if that works.<br />-andy

do I switch the red and blue wires from the inner switch box to the red and white, blue and white wires on the outer switchbox? these are the four wires comming off the stator other than the two yellow wires that go to the rectifier.I have a Seloc manual. thank you steve

Switch all the wires completely. That is, interchange the inner and outer switchboxes.

found my problem today,it was a dirty loose conection on my rectifier. I cannot believe i got that lucky. thank you Steve
