They sell a nice little plastic bottle at WalMart or Kmart that has markings on it for mixture ratio's.Using the 50:1 part, you fill the bottle to the level that corresponds to the number of gallons you are going to put in the tank.It takes all the guess work out of how much.I think it sell for about 4 bucks.I use it all the time,I think its a good investment.
Don't be too picky about it, as long as you're close you will be ok. I allways measure out 50:1 and then add another "gulp" from the bottle in the tank.
That's true. while it's good to have the proper mix, another ounce or two in 6 gallons will not hurt a thing. Might want to decarb a litle more often. It's when you run them REAL rich that you can actually overheat the engine, because it's the fuel that cools the combustion.
Hey wakebite, nobody needs a wisecracker here. If everybody knew everything, then nobody would need this site, but I guess since you know so much you will never need any help from anyone here on the site.
I think wakebite was just trying to get a laugh.
But we all have to relize there are lots of very intellegent folks that dont have a clue about fractions or ratios.50:1 means nothing to some
folks. Some folk cant even figure miles per gallon
