it seems like it takes ages to reply here, or memebers choose who to reply to and who to not, anyways i have a 1987 force 50h.p i was replacing my starter selenoid with a new one, somehow i mixed up the wires together, so now i have 3 red wires, anyways i recalled the set up and connected the selenoid but as soon i connected my battery terminal the starter engaged without me even putting the key in the ignition and twisting it to activate the selenoid, and when i change the wires the other way around i get no start, what am i doing wrong here????? i mean when the battery connects the sttarter starts by itself bypassing the ignition key switch, can someone please email me a picture of the wiring diagram for the starter selenoid . i am pretty sure that one red wire coming from the battery connects to the selenoid while the other black also from the battery is grounded to the block, and then there is the red from the starter which goes in the same terminal with the red from the battery , is this right??? please help me out here . it takes me ages to get a reply. please respond
