I have a 2000 50 H.P. engine that recently has been giving me a serious problem. I had put a new gas gauge in my tank that didn't seem to be reading accurately, so I wanted to check it out so I ran to the bottom of the tank. All of a sudden the engine lost power and would hardly run. I would idle perfect and even run at slow speed adequately, but under any throttle advancement it bogs down. I tried a new supply of gas with Seafoam in a seperate tank. It improved slightly. Did I get water into the carbs? I checked the fuel filter and it is fairly clean. What kind of damage does water in the gas do? Does anyone have any ideas as to what I could do to remedy the situation? Tnanks for any advice. Makky
