50 HP Mercury Winterization

I have a 1989 Pontoon Boat with 50 HP Mercury we keep it in the water year round. What things should I do for winter?

Here is what we have been doing:

1) it is pre-mixed gas, I ran it all out untill it choked off

2) disconnected gas line to engine and wrapper with trash bag (keep bug out)

3) removed battery and store it inside and keep on charge

4) removed plugs and spray fogging oil in plugs

Did you read the instructions on the can?

Id pull the motor off and store it in the shed, then raise the boat out of the water on a lift or legs and clean it.

You must live in a warm part of the country.
