50 Hp timing Help

I have a 1966 50 merc. (Laddies recently helped) With locating timing marks,(thanks), Now i need to find out the proper way to set timing marks ,its about 15degress off, after a shop replaced timing belt, and I dont want to mess it up any worse, thanks for any help!! JC

JC. if the flywhell bolts at the center hub on the flywheel look like they have been removed, put a screwdriver down number 1 cyl and roll it up to TDC to make sure the flywheel is assm right, then with the belt retaining plate remove from the mag drive line the flywheel mark and the arrow under the plate up, reinstall the plate and ck the timing as the page I sent you describes
