50 HP Wiring

I noticed that the cover is missing off one section of the wire going from the switchbox to the stator. Ser# 5797448. Motor runs well, but the wire is green from corosion. Should I try to splice it, replace it or just leave it alone? 82 Inline 4 cyl.<br /><br />Thanks,<br /><br />Rick

Some thing about those wires that they don't solder, so they best anwser to your problem is to clean them and coat with liquid tape--Bob
