hello i have a 1998 50 johnson that is not getting any power.i have jumped my motor plenty of times so i know the starters good but if i turn the key nothing happens!!!im stuck and i really need u guys help!!!

have you looked for the fuse in the red holder on top of the block,it may be elsewhere if someone moved the harness around,but it should be there.If thats not blown,look for power at the solonoid on the yel/red wire when the key is turned,if you get no power ,check your grounds ,and connections at harness and switch,if that is all good ,your switch may be bad,

bad ground battery cable thanks for your help im going to start and run it tomarrow then wire up the rest of my trim.:D

50 johnson no ignition on bottom cylinder

I have a 1999 Johnson 50 hp electric start engine that is only running on one cylinder. I have changed the power pack, ignition coil, stator, spark plugs, and have disconected the little tan wire (slow mode), and still have the problem. Can someone please help?:confused:
