50 Mercury Motor idles rough.

This motor ran good for a while but look after a couple of month (2) of just sitting there when i went to start it, idle rough, and when i take of the #3 spark plug wire off it kills. I notice there was oil in the barrel of water that use to put the propeller in. Help please.

The oil in the barrel is normal (for a 2-stroke).<br /><br />Try pulling the rest of the plug wires too. One at the time. If there is no change you got no spark for that plug. #3 has a spark.
