50hp 4 stroke recommended...

I will help a friend winterize his 01 50 hp 4 stroke mercury this weekend. Last time I helped him with the boat we couldn't find the owners manual. Since I didn't have any luck at the mercury website can someone help me with:<br /><br />Recommended oil, gear oil and the amount needed.<br /><br />Kevin

if its an "EFI" motor click here EFI motors <br /><br />if its a "bigfoot" motor, click here big foot motors <br /><br />if its a "carbed" motor, click here carbed motors <br /><br />when you get to the respective page, on the menu on the left, click on the item labled"service manual outline" and read to your hearts content!<br /><br />have fun<br /><br />mike <br />out

update your version of acrobat from THIS exact site....<br /><br /> http://www.biggerhammer.net/mercury/factory_manuals/ <br /><br />they only have manuals for the newer merc motors, but they DO have them for EVERY imaginable model including 4strokes, 2 strokes, jets, and opti<br /><br />i found it by accident one day..go figure

Phatmanmike do you think you could accidently find the service manual for a 1985 75hp 4cyl under the same format?

The quicksilver oil and gear lube are easy enough. My only problem now is cross referencing the oil filter. I don't want to stop by the merc dealer it's out of the way. <br />PN 35 822626<br />Can anyone help????<br />Kevin
