I put the 50hp evinrude on my pontoon boat runs great but when i speed up it really kicks back water into transom area, and all over back of boat between tubes almost like its bearly in water at higher speeds is there something i can do to correct this?My other motor was same length and did not do this,Someone said i could put the spring loaded ear on and that would solve the problem, not exactly sure what its called, instead of the ears that bolt on each side its a alum, plate with a release lever will this work, sorry for bieng so ignorant on names of items but all this boat stuff is new i am learning as i go

My 35hp Lark does the same thing. I have an adjustable transom, but if I raise it high enough to minimize the turbulence, the motor isn't in the water deep enough to pump water efficiently. Well, I don't normally go very fast anyway:)

my 115 hp 1970 does the same thing. almost like it's dragging on something.
