50hp force carb float spring question

I have a 1989 50hp Force. It has the Tillotson? WE17c carb, number 684061. It is new to me. It started OK, but ran rough. I Took the carb off. I have no idea how it started with all the gunk in there. I cleaned the whole thing, Now cannot figure out how to put the float spring back on. Any help will be appreciated. I searched forums all over, you tube and Google, but no luck in finding out how that spring fits in there.

Hopefully this will help....the spring is number 22 in the picture....notice the orientation of the spring.

He got it back together, now it's only getting 1/2 throttle.
