50hp force charging system

I have a 1990 force 50hp outboard, the battery keeps going dead. Can anyone point me in the right direction on how to trouble shoot the charging system?<br /><br />Thanks

You will probebly need to replace the regulator/rectifier.<br /><br />It has red and yellow wires running from it.<br /><br />TMD
