50hp Merc

I recently purchased a sylvan boat that came with a 50hp mercury 3 cylinder engine. I am new to the mercury 2 strokes and I am trying to find out the year and model so I can get parts to get it going. I will attach some pictures. Thanks in advance

That should be a 1986 model.

Have that serial number handy when ordering parts.
And make sure they are parts for the 3 cyl 50,
not the 4 cyl "classic 50", which was actually a 45hp.

Oh yea someone has rigged up a johnson fuel pump on this Ole motor.

Well a Johnson outboard pump would work well if not better than the factory original.----I see nothing wrong in doing that.
