Yesterday my 50hp 1975 johnson has started to make a consistant mild pitch winding sound regardless of RPM range? Even with the hood off it still there. Also it has a flat spot on power up aswell and it is vibrating the hood now! Can anyone help?? This motor has been in service for many years now and I dont believe it ready to go. It has been serviced not long ago and carby regularly cleaned and inline filter replaced.
