I inherited my grandfather's 1953 Evinrude Fleetwin 7.5 outboard. The rubber cone that keeps the shear pin secure is dry and hard. I don't trust it to keep during use. I've tried ebay etc. But I could do better if I had an OMC part #. Any gurus out there with a book or something? The old motor runs too good to shelve.

Part number 201880. Worth a call to iboats sales dept. Maybe they have access to one. If they don't, try a want ad on the Antique Outboard Club's website, www.aomci.org The ad is free and worth every penny.

Using the part # supplied by F_R, I found them easy enough on ebay. I'll go that route if iboats doesn't have one. Thanks guys.

Part # turned out to be a retainer too small. I think I'm just going to machine one from aluminum and use a couple of set screws.
